We started to tile the floor
were using 12: x 12" slate tiles

There all different , each with their own quirks
Its hard to keep moving without stopping and looking
asking each other " is this to big?"
"should we swap this one out ? "
"is this straight ? "

Hi everybody

its been a while but im going to try
to blog more regularly

Nico and I are tiling the kitchen and dining room

Its going well
Thanks to Uncle Kevin for the awesome tile saw

We hired a new assistant on Sat and Mon
his name is Ted and he has a good energy

Some people have been leaving comments
on the blog that are a little suspicious

then we tiled under the cabinets

then we started to tile the backsplash

we did one row above the sink

we have to mark out the radiant on the cement board
before we screw it down

we started laying the cement board sub floor for the tile



Nico put down a thin laer of thinset and then
we screwed down the cement board

Django really wanted to see some
elepants

so on MOnday we went to the
Natural History museum

Artie and I stopped in Maryland two see
Sandy and Phil Loiterstein

There old friends of nico and her family
They have a great home in Chevy chase

Sandy is a very talented pianist and a fan of the blog
Phil is a wonderful artist

Phil was telling me that his nephew's son is in a popular band
i said really?
do you know their name and he said Yeah
